Therapeutic Services: E.M.D.R. & A.R.T.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (E.M.D.R.)
EMDR is a powerful therapeutic approach that can provide rapid relief from emotional pain that once took years to heal. This therapy uses guided eye movements to help the mind process and heal from psychological trauma. By facilitating a similar sequence of events as physical healing, EMDR helps the brain move from a state of distress to a more positive and adaptive perspective. This process involves removing emotional blocks caused by disturbing events, allowing the natural healing process to resume and alleviate intense suffering.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.)
ART is a cutting-edge therapy designed to quickly replace negative mental images associated with Post-Traumatic Stress with positive ones chosen by the client. Unlike traditional therapies, ART can often achieve significant results in just one session. This approach utilizes eye movements similar to those used in EMDR to facilitate voluntary changes in the client’s mind. A unique aspect of ART is that the clients do not need to discuss the details of their trauma with the therapist. Instead, the process is procedural and creative, with the client in control and the ART therapist acting as a supportive guide.
